Dancer personalities make a guest appearance in Opernhaus Düsseldorf
|
The dance personalities whom we can witness on the stages of German theatres are as widely varied as the aesthetic views, dance techniques and artistic approaches of their choreographers. This fascinating spectrum of the current state of dance art is the theme of an evening prompted by the Conference of Federal German Ballet and Dance Directors and curated by Martin Puttke on the occasion of the Dance Congress 2013 at the Opernhaus Düsseldorf. Members of various German ensembles, as representatives of about seventy companies of ballet and dance in Germany, present excerpts from contemporary and classical choreographies – from the reconstruction of a Grete Wiesenthal waltz to dance classics such as “Swan Lake” by Christopher Wheeldon to Ralf Dörnen’s “Le Sacre du printemps” or Marco Goecke’s “I found a Fox” – danced by Eric Gauthier. The presentation is in the hands of Cécile Schortmann (3sat-„Kulturzeit“).
Planned are contributions by dancers of the following ensembles: Ballett Augsburg, Ballett am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg, Ballett im Revier, balletthagen, Badisches Staatsballett Karlsruhe, Ballett Koblenz, Ballett des Theaters Nordhausen, Tanzcompagnie Oldenburg, Donlon Dance Company Saarbrücken, Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart, Thüringer Staatsballett, BallettVorpommern, Ballett des Mainfrankentheaters Würzburg and Brit Rodemund.
